FPIK Undip Successfully Holds ICTCRED 2019

The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) at Diponegoro University once again organized the 5th International Conference on Tropical and Coastal Region Eco Development (ICTCRED) on September 17–18, 2019, at Gumaya Hotel, Semarang. The international conference served as a platform for academics, researchers, and students to present research findings related to the sustainable development of tropical and coastal regions.

Carrying the theme “Integrated Coastal Management for Sustainable Development,” the conference featured speakers from various countries and academic disciplines. Among them were Budi P. Resosudarmo from Australia, Erik de Ruijter van Steveninck from the Netherlands, and Hiroki Saeki from Japan. In addition, Indonesian scholars such as Eddy Pratomo and Tony Hadibarata also shared insights on coastal and marine management issues.

Chairman of the organizing committee, Aris Ismanto, explained that the conference aimed to encourage the publication of research findings in reputable international journals and proceedings. Meanwhile, then Dean of FPIK, Tri Winarni Agustini, emphasized that the conference reflected interdisciplinary collaboration involving law, social sciences, economics, and marine sciences.

The event was also attended by Vice Rector for Research and Innovation Ambariyanto, along with academics, researchers, and members of the academic community from various institutions. Research papers presented during ICTCRED 2019 were planned to be published in several international journals and proceedings, including Institute of Physics (IOP), Biodiversitas, WRA, and AACL Bioflux.
