OVERVIEW
International Conference on Tropical and Coastal Region Eco-development (ICTCRED) is a forum for those interested in tropical marine and coastal development issues. This conference was initially organized by the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM), Universitas Diponegoro. Since 2018, it was taken over by Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science. The upcoming ICTCRED 2024 and DAAD Meeting 2024 at Semarang City, Indonesia has been organized on 24th – 25th Sept 2024.
Universitas Diponegoro commits to provide an opportunity for scientific society to always play an important role in disseminating ideas and research results especially in the area of coastal and marine tropical development, which is the main research field of our university. Hence, this conference offers a platform for extensive sharing and exchange of knowledge for the Coastal Region Eco Development (CRED) and Tropical Life Sciences (TLS). The ICTCRED topics presented in this conference cover aquaculture, fisheries, marine natural product, biotechnology, coastal engineering, air sea interaction, disaster mitigation, and rehabilitation, coastal policy, fisheries processing technology, coastal resources, coastal social and economic, marine science, geoecohazard and oceanography.

The SDGs Center of Diponegoro University serves as a focal point to redefine, sharpen and continuously increase the university’s effort and commitment to environmental sustainability and development. The SDGs Center of Diponegoro University brings together the multi-disciplinary intellectual capacity within the university as a valuable asset that can play a strategic role in driving the achievement of SDGs implementation in Indonesia by 2030. The SDGs Center of Diponegoro University has a vision to become “a center of excellence for the university that can play an active role in encouraging achievement of the SDGs in Indonesia by 2030.” In 2021 SDGs Center Universitas Diponegoro has successfully joined the SDSN Network which is a global network that mobilizes global scientific and technological expertise to promote practical solutions for sustainable development, including the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement.
These are missions of the SDGs Center of Diponegoro University:
- Internalizing the implementation of inclusive and SDGs-sound education.
- Strengthening knowledge management to facilitate research, policy development and the implementation of SDGs.
- Accelerating the achievement of SDGs at the local and grassroots levels.
- Expanding networks and partnerships with affiliated counterparts and stakeholders to open up space for dialogue to increase awareness in achieving the SDGs targets.
